I Eat My Peas with Honey by Anonymous
I eat my peas with honey;
I've done it all my life.
It makes the peas taste funny,
But it keeps them on the knife.

Our town had a poem in your pocket day that my kids were so excited about! My two olders wrote a poem and carried it around but did not want to wear the little stickers they had been given to indicate that they actually had a poem in their pocket! I think they just felt comforted knowing they were prepared when and if someone asked them if they had a poem! And indeed they wer both asked and both able to read their wonderful little poems! So proud...
