Don’t let the glow of your Halloween festivities fade out just because the big day is over. Here are some literacy activities that will help your kiddo hold onto the fun they just had. These will also keep them busy while you hide some of the loot they received while trick-or-treating!
- Print out pictures of the night, paste them to a page and write a story about the party/parade/trick-or-treating.
- Draw a picture of their costume and label all the different elements.
- Write a “how-to” book about trick-or-treating or dressing up.
- Make drawing of friends in their costumes and label.
- Write a note to friends complimenting how well they played their dressing up role.
- Make thank you cards for those who came to their Halloween party.
- Write a counting book for the candy received (10 Twix bars, 11 Milky Ways, etc.)
Did your family do any post Halloween activities? Let us know, we’d love to hear about it!
